Jamiroquai - High Times: Singles 1992–2006
High Times: Singles 1992–2006 is a collection of Jamiroquai's past hits, and includes two new songs: "Runaway," and "Radio." Most of the band's best known songs are included, with two notable exceptions: "King for a Day" and "You Give Me Something", although a remix of the latter appears on CD 2 of the Special Edition release. Several other singles were also left out: "Stillness in Time", "Half the Man", "Light Years", "Kids", "Black Capricorn Day", and "Supersonic", although some of these were featured on international editions.
This album ended Jamiroquai's contract with Sony BMG. Upon release, the album reached the top of the BBC Radio 1 albums chart. number 5 in Italy and number 1 in Japan. It also reached the top of the UK Album Chart. Most, if not all of the tracks on this compilation album are "radio" or "single edits".
The Cover Art of the album, showed a Silver Crown, in a Sci-Fi-Like Beach.
There are multiple versions of the release, including but not limited to a "regular" edition; a "Deluxe" edition, which includes a disc of remixes; a Japan-only CD/DVD release; and a UK DVD of music videos.
Promotion
High Times: Singles received relatively heavy promotion for a "Greatest hits" album. Posters promoting the album were found in some cities,[4] and very many promotional performances were also held, most notable one being the London Jazz Cafe performance, which is notable for being the first Jamiroquai performance in the last few years that included wind instruments. The album was also heavily promoted via the internet, most notably via Yahoo! Answers,[5] and a competition to win an MP3 player that contains the new album.
In promotional images, a reflection of the photographer shooting the image can be seen in the hat's surface, although in the cover of the actual release the reflection has been erased from the image.
